My foray into Malaysian Idol. Second round! A lot more sweat, A lot more joy.

Well, Was supposed to be there at 10, But I reached there at 9:30 am (Not sure how to estimate time to drive from Melawati to Times Square on a Sunday morning). Doors are still closed. Had to wait outside, head all groggy from lack of sleep.

Once the doors opened (at around 10:15am), there was another queue again. Goodness... Malaysian Idol seems to be plagued with waits and queues... cacat... haha. Anyway, when it was my turn, they rejected the 4R picture I brought along... how irritating. In total, I spent 35 bucks just developing photos for Malaysian idol! RM10 for Passport sized ones, which the rejected, RM10 again for a 2 instant 4R sized ones, which they rejected again because it was not a full body shot... DUH.... they didn't state that as a requirement.... So, I had to get out of the queue, and go downstairs to take another 4R picture... another RM15 gone there. Oh well, was worth it I guess.

Yeah... Got my second number... The one stuck on the back of the magazine is from the 1st audition. Brought it just in case.

They were giving away free temporary tattoos... haha. Got one on the back of my left palm. Blue Hyppo!

At around 1 pm, I get called upstairs.... Another "chance" for me to wait... haha. This is just outside the room where Roslan Aziz, Fauziah Latiff and Paul Moss were judging contestants. Waiting for my turn.

After getting an unanimous OKAY from the judges, I get mobbed by people interviewing me... lol. Though I'm pretty sure they won't show me on TV, Cause I'm stiff as a log... HAHAHAHAHA. Was too nervous menn....

Here's a picture of a Silk Flag (about 2 feet by 4 feet) Joshua brought from my church to support me! hahahaha. Siau case... He, Eugene, my sister and Annie came... a little too late. I had finished everything by then. Still, I took them to the holding area, and Joshua started shouting "HERE! HERE! MALAYSIAN IDOL IS HERE!" while waving the giant flag around, then we got filmed! hahaha... Josh is gonna be famous...

A closer look at what they call the Golden paper... lol...

Stuck these on my door. Yup. To God be the glory.
Comments of the Judges
** Here I will try and remember what the judges commented about my singing... haha **
Well, Paul Moss was asked to comment first by Roslan Aziz, So he did. He started by saying that I was nervous, and so I replied "Yes! Very nervous, my hands are shaking!" Then he said, "not only your hands... you whole body is shaking all over..." and Roslan chimed in to agree with him too. I laughed and acknowledge that. Paul then said he liked the way I sang the song, simple, not too fanciful, getting the melody and the song through to the audience with my voice well. Mentioned more about me being stiff and nervous... ahha. Roslan then gave his comments. He said my voice is not too special. Just ordinary.. which I agree wholeheartedly. But he said he liked me... just like that. "But I like you... your charm" hahahaha. How strange. God's favour I guess. He said I had talent, and a future in singing, but needed to improve on my voice, where I mentioned "I have no professional training" out of jest... haha. He said I should get some. mentioned a bit more about liking me... being stiff and nervous... Then Fauziah commented. The started by saying she agreed with Paul, that I sang the song nicely, but was TOO nervous... which I again acknowledged... lol (it's true it's true it's true). Then she said she liked my style, they way I dress. She said "you got the looks, the voice, you just need to work on performance"... wow... bangga. Roslan then again commented on my "unmovingness" when I was singing, then Fauziah chipped in and said maybe it was better that way, because I was projecting the song through my voice, and no actions were necessary for this kind of songs. Roslan then agreed partially by saying, "I like the way you don't pretend. You are natural in front of us, and you are yourself... " That was very nice of him. I think at this point, Roslan asked Paul what he thought, And Paul just said OKAY. Then Fauziah said OKAY. Then Roslan looked at me and said again... "I like you... You've got charm... OKAY" hahahaha.. Wahhh. Happy giler.
- the end -
** Disclaimer : I could be totally wrong. I was so blur after singing, shakingly nervous and all, I could've misunderstood them as well. Hahaha. **
