My foray into Malaysian Idol. Elimination rounds! Top 120 from Malaysia gather together at Times Square for 4 days. A lot more pressure, a lot more tension, a lot more rewarding.
DAY 1

All contestants gathering at the hotel lobby to be checked in and a minor briefing. Top 120 from All over Malaysia here!

Terence from Penang in black, and Seng Yew from PJ in red, and... my black shoe, still attached to my foot. This is us waiting to get into the briefing hall at night,

Getting our numbers and instructions for the night.

Entrance of the hotel room. Excellent accommodations!

There's a little pantry, but now cooking utensils. Guess they don't want any "incidents" hahaha

There's even a mini compo for our use! Thats not very common for hotels.

The television. It's got a rotating base so you can either watch it from the couch, or from the bed.

The bed and the cupboards. Nice nice. Very nice.

The bath tub, and a separate shower stall! Neato.

Two toilet bowls again? (Remember roadtrip 0.1 beta? haha) One day, I must find out what the ass washer is called.

The view from the hotel room. Can see the Jalan Imbi Monorail station, as well as the huge swimming pool. It's really long!
DAY 2

The lift requires you to insert your key card before you can punch in your room number.

Breakfast charged at exorbitant prices. I've eaten better breakfasts at other hotels. The omelets was really gosu though.

View from the breakfast lounge. PUDU JAIL! hahahahaha

Waiting at the Times Square entrance for the bus to take us to the Panggung Bandaraya (DBKL Hall). It's still early, 9 am. Times square is still closed (see the shutters?)

Me and Jien, one of the hosts of the show. He's damn good looking in real life. And I'm not queer.

Contestants getting ourselves registered, and our numbers. This is also the foyer, where we spent most of our time fro the next 3 days. We were not allowed in the hall to hear the others sing.

Getting in the hall for the first time.

Getting ready for their turn to sing. Hahahaha. Can you see the stress on their faces? lol. Some girl, Seng Yew, Sean and Karen Watts is in the front row. Don't know the names of the rest. (Gah... wish they all had name cards with pictures in them)

Passing our waiting time.

The all famous "Guy Sabastian" (Mavick) of Penang Audition fame. He can sing really really really well.

Some police were seen frequently, because... (Was corrected, those are DBKL officers! but who cares... police sounds nicer.. HAHAHA. just pretend they are police.)

... Bukit Aman police station is so nearby! hahahahahaha

At night, me and my roommate... uhh... "celebrate" the end of the day with ice cream! Now I owe him a tub of ice cream for every round I pass. lol.
