My foray into Malaysian Idol. Elimination rounds! Top 120 from Malaysia gather together at Times Square for 4 days. A lot more pressure, a lot more tension, a lot more rewarding.
DAY 3

Picture pf the guys who made it across. Recognize the guy with the finger to his nose? He was in the Astro Talent Quest. Heard he won a car or something. Dunno if he was the overall winner.

Picture of Fauziah's car. Nice number plate. Jee is her nickname, in case you don't know.

Mavick and Eric taking a nap. I call this the PORN shot. hahahahahaha....

Getting ready to leave again. With our luggage... ugh.

Boarding the busses.

Shot of the Panggung signage

Shot of me with Jangguh (in the turban), Ferhan and Eddie (If I remember correctly)

Back at Times Square mall, where we are supposed to wait for our results.

Entertaining ourselves (and the public) by singing. hahaha

Some great people here, with real talent!

Me and my group members. We did the Spanish song A Puro Dolor in English together, taking turns to sing. Me and Julian sang it in English, while Shahleem (If I remember correctly) sang it in Malay

Me with a guy (I can't remember his name again haha) from East Malaysia. Check out his blue hair!

Me with the second host of the show. What's her name? Aleya? Can someone correct me? hahah. Geez. I'm bad with names.

Chelsia from Penang. She actually has an album done with Douglas Lim (you know, of Kopitiam fame?) I don't know if the album is released to the public though. Seems there was some problems.

Some anxious people busy messaging.

Daniel (If I remember correctly.. hahaha I'm so so so bad with names) singing is lungs and other internal organs out. Imagine this... His voice is so high, He sings Mariah Carey songs without using his falsetto.

My new roommate for the night. Guy with the white pants....

Calling out names and getting us into rooms. Check out the tension. Those who were in room A were eliminated. Room B and C got through. I was in room C.

At room C, we were given our equipment to work with for the whole night. We weren't allowed to sleep much! In the paper bag was a Discman (which we couldn't keep), batteries, a CD with 6 songs and 12 minus-one tracks, one at original key and one two steps down and lyrics for all the songs. We got this assignment at 12 am, and were expected to perform the next day. Camera crews were dispatched to keep haunting us throughout the night, making sure we practiced, all the way to 5 am. They were even given the master key! Scary sheit.

Check this out. Ever seen a bed with 6 pillows in a hotel? muahahahahahaha.
DAY 4

The crew playing some banghra music as well as blues and stuff. Was very interesting to watch them. hahaha.

And then a Chinese dude took over my guitar and started belting out all the David Tao favourites and stuff like that. haha. Jangguh was playing the drums on a cardboard box. All this was while waiting for results.

Check out the makeup some of the girls brought... siau...

Roslan Aziz with his hands outstretched, and some of the crew.

Mavick... we hardly got any sleep the night before, and we had to spend the whole day waiting for results... this is what happens when you're really tired. haha.

The top 50 getting ready to get in the hall for our results. In the end, only 30 were left. I didn't get pictures of that, becuz my camera ran out of batteries. Oh well, you can catch them on Tevee anyway.
